Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Rose Namajunas has been one among the most prominent UFC female athletes. She began her professional career as an amateur athlete, performing various regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And after that, she signed with Ultimate Fighting Championships. The fighter has gained plenty of attention following her joining of the UFC due to both her outside and inside the octagon's successes. Namajunas's family are Lithuanian and she was born there on the 29th of June in 1992. Rose took part in various sports as a child such as basketball and kickboxing. at the age of 18, she began her professional career with Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two fights through submission. Dana White took notice of this, and she was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in December 2014 when Rose was just 22 years old. Throughout Rose her career, she's gone through periods of both extremes and lows, but every times she has come out ahead. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15 in 2015 for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza via a technical knockout in just under 3 minutes round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also named Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history by winning this fight as she became the first woman to challenge in a title fight in any organization of note. Namajunas was victorious in several bouts after the fight, and she was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
